The main image on the homepage contracts when the site is refreshed leaving white spaces on the edges. It began doing this last night for some strange reason. See https://www.screencast.com/t/Sf6cWitWwyV

The first time when you go to the site, js still does not work, so the image shows as itself in the default ratio.
After page is loaded completely, js works and calculates the width and height values for the slide.

That's the reason I can tell you

This is not the solution. This is an error that never happened before and needs to be fixed. You know this as you have been dealing with this site and this never happened before until now. Please fix this. I think when your developer fixed the SEARCH issue it affected the slider images.

The reason is that: SEARCH and IMAGE SLIDE are in the same source code / package. This problem occurs when this package is not loaded completely. In addition, you site has one more error about js "autoptimize_270900562320bfb158ade03a150a1c0e.js:80" (see in my attachment). This causes the load time to increase. That leads to not only slide but also all features related to this package are delayed / affected

I enabled Lazy Load which corrected the issue.
